# FabLabels Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 20, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how FabLabels ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the FabLabels mobile application ("App"). FabLabels, developed by [Your Developer Name], helps users manage food labels by creating, categorizing, and printing labels for food storage.
## Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use FabLabels:
- **Personal Information**:
- **Email Address**: Collected when you sign up or sign in using Firebase Authentication to create and manage your account.
- **User ID**: A unique identifier generated by Firebase Authentication to associate your account with your data.
- **User-Generated Content**:
- Labels, categories, and locations you create in the App, stored in Firebase Firestore to provide core functionality (e.g., organizing and printing labels).
- **Device Information**:
- Limited device information (e.g., Bluetooth permissions) may be accessed when connecting to a printer, but no device identifiers are collected or stored.
## How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- **App Functionality**: To authenticate your account, store and display your labels, categories, and locations, and enable printing via connected devices.
- **Service Improvement**: To diagnose technical issues and improve the App’s performance (e.g., via Firebase Crashlytics, if enabled).
- **Communication**: To respond to your support requests or account deletion inquiries.
## Data Sharing
We do not share your personal information or user-generated content with third parties, except as required to provide the App’s functionality:
- **Firebase (Google)**: We use Firebase Authentication and Firestore to manage accounts and store data. Firebase processes your email, user ID, and user-generated content as a backend service, not as a third-party sharing scenario.
- **No Advertising or Analytics**: FabLabels does not use third-party advertising or analytics services that share your data.
## Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data:
- **Encryption**: All data transmitted between the App and Firebase servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
- **Access Controls**: Firebase security rules restrict unauthorized access to your data.
## Account Deletion
You may request the deletion of your FabLabels account and associated data at any time. To request deletion, please follow these steps:

2. **Verification**: We may ask you to verify your identity (e.g., by confirming your email address) to ensure the request is legitimate.
3. **Processing**: We will process your request within 30 days and notify you once deletion is complete.
### Data Deleted
Upon receiving and verifying your deletion request, we will delete the following data:
- **Personal Information**: Your email address and user ID stored in Firebase Authentication.
- **User-Generated Content**: All labels, categories, and locations associated with your account in Firebase Firestore.
### Data Retained
We may retain limited data after deletion:
- **Logs and Diagnostics**: Non-identifiable crash reports or logs (if collected via Firebase Crashlytics) may be retained for up to 90 days to improve the App’s stability.
- **Support Correspondence**: Emails related to your deletion request may be kept for up to 1 year for legal or auditing purposes.
### Retention Period

- Retained logs or correspondence are kept for the periods noted above and are not linked to your account after deletion.
## Your Choices
- **Account Creation**: Providing an email address is required to use FabLabels’ authenticated features. Creating labels, categories, and locations is optional.

Hester produces fresh, organic produce from local farmers in New York. Even our spices are fresh. Just because pickling is a preservation process doesn’t mean you can use dried-up thyme or week-old asparagus that’s already a little spongy.
We want to give our customers crisp, crunchy and delicious pickled vegetables and fruits. Most of all, we want to expand people’s palates and prove that pickles don’t always come in a green or red variety.
